Tyre check and quick car walk around
Welcome back to week 2 of our 6 week get your car ready for summer series.
Last week we popped our head under the bonnet to check the oil, coolant and car battery.
This week it’s time to have a quick look at our tyres. No, not the most glamorous part of owning a car – but think of it as the best and cheapest car maintenance that you can do.
It will only take a few minutes but it could save your life. A tyre blowing at 100km an hour can have fatal consequences. A tyre check costs you nothing but can save you hundreds of dollars in repairs.
And please remember to check the spare tyre in the boot too!
We then do a really quick walk around the car, it’s a great habit to get into before you jump in the car. More often than not we just jump into the car and start driving.
A quick walk around the car can alert you to animals sleeping under the car, kids toys, nails and other things that can get into your tyre.
