Our 2 hour workshops are not about fixing your car or being a mechanic, rather they are all about getting to know your car, how to make sure it is working at its best, and going through the basics of car knowledge to leave you feeling confident and road ready.

Just wear some comfy clothes, no dangly bangles and bring a bottle of water (for you not the car)! And something to munch on, in case you get hungry.

We only use one car - so it is not necessary to have your own, but we will happily show you around your car if you bring it along.

As our workshops are weather dependant - in the case of rain we will have to postpone, however a new workshop will be rescheduled. You have up to 12 months to use your workshop pass.

We will give you a call at noon on the day of the workshop if the weather looks bad.

Australian authorities have grappled with how to control wayward women from the moment raucous female convicts stepped ashore. The brutal reality of notorious female criminals such as ‘the man woman murderer’ Eugenia Falleni, sly grogger Kate Leigh and poisoner Yvonne Fletcher is in stark contrast to the glamour of the noir seductress and pulp novel siren. The 1950s was an exuberant decade that saw the birth of rock and roll, new fashions and social mores, and a breakaway generation who became known as teenagers. At the turn of the 21st century there are some for whom the '50s never died. Photographer Steven Siewert has spent years documenting Sydney's rockabillies, a vibrant subculture who live and breathe an era that predates their earliest birthdays. The boys dress for cool with stovepipe jeans and slick quiffs, while the women wear dazzling cocktail frocks by night and colourful vintage dresses by day.

Steven Siewert's work straddles documentary and press photography. He combines professional work as a Sydney Morning Herald photojournalist with
personal projects such as this.
